Parents |
| Helping
students refine their study habits is just one responsibility
among many for a parent. Needs can range from seeking
advice to resolve a specifc issue to trying to help student
who is really struggling. On top of that, parent
schedules, commuting, house rules, family values, parental
priorities and the number, ages and abilities of children
make for many unique circumstances. Our parent
resources are designed to fit within your unique
family dynamic. In fact, our first questions are
to figure out what you need. |

needs in a way that a school setting cannot. One of the challenges
is that a parent can be forced to be a master of all subjects.

Skills Tutors |
Good
tutors are masters of their content area and often have some
good tips for students on how to study. Still, they may
not be masters of teaching study skills. Online tutor
training helps tutors find ways to include study skills training
into tutoring sessions. The training does not interfere with
the successful methods a tutor may already have. It reinforces
and builds on it by provding the tutor with more strategies
for the student. |
